if you’re going to Miami for Art Basel next week, then be sure to check out Paul Rowlands show, TRANSFORMATIONS. he’s a friend of mine who started modeling agencies WOMEN and SUPREME. enjoy!
Transformations is a photographic portrait exploration by photographer Paul Rowland. The images reflect the artist’s interest in not who is in front of the camera, but rather what one could imagine there. Taken from the past five years of image-making, this show attempts to distill an underlying current of the artist’s process. Often this results in moments of clarity, which can be haunting while retaining a humor that brings a sense of reality to the image where the moments have often been more heavily constructed.
Curated and produced by Jordan Seiler and presented by Max Pierre and Michael Cabrera.

Robbie Cai from Urban Look Magazine (print) in Shanghai China hit me up a couple of weeks ago for an interview for the magazine. He said “We wanna find some street icons in urban cities like NYC,LA,CHI town,Tokyo,London, etc. and ask these icons couples of questions about their daily life.” - I went ahead and did the interview. Amanda Merten one of the contributors from THE YOUNG AND THE BANGING / photographer on the come up shot me in my window. Thanks for the interivew Robbie! This is finally my excuse to be more involved in Chinese youth culture. New connections. BANGING!
i fully started to cry when obama gave his speech. i was around a bunch of friends in a bar but couldn’t hold back the tears. it was a real emotional time for all of us. some friends over seas sent me emails saying “congratulations. you must feel good to be a US citizen again”. but it’s very true. the world’s view of our nation is changing for the better as well. time for change. it was amazing how many people came out to vote for something they believed in when in the past some of those same people could have cared less about voting. when i woke up the next morning, i had all of this fresh energy. new inspiration to do great at what i want to do in my life. to stay on point and to continue to inspire others. i’m excited for the years to come. Thank you all who voted. we did it!
